Xinjia Garden Kindergarten in SIP's Huxi sub-district hosted an event on Feb 28 in collaboration with seven of its neighboring kindergartens, in a bid to promote development of learning games for kindergarten kids. Over 150 kindergarten principals and teachers from around SIP attended the event.

It is learnt that the kindergartens are allies under a program that SIP launched in January. The program is aimed at encouraging 12 kindergartens directly under SIP Administrative Committee to form alliances with their neighboring kindergartens to develop learning games that can help kids build skills they need to succeed in school. Under the program, the 12 alliances take turns to host a series of monthly events where they can showcase their learning games and exchange experience with their peers.

In part of the event, teachers and students at Xinjia Garden Kindergarten demonstrated several games for different knowledge and skill learning, receiving high praise from the spectators.

In another part, three teachers at the kindergarten shared with other teachers their experience in game design and organization, such as methods of recycling materials and diversifying games fit for different kids, and answered their inquiries.

The event also included a salon session for kindergarten principals to exchange opinions and discuss strategies for further cooperation.

It is reported that the next event of the kind will take place at Hualin Kindergarten.
