Qian Yuqing, a Suzhou calligrapher and chairman of SIP Calligraphers Association (SIPCA), and another 12 SIPCA members recently visited SIP Foreign Language School, where they wrote hundreds of Spring Festival couplets for the school's students and teachers and taught the foreign teachers there to write Chinese characters using ink brush.

The event offered the school's students and teachers a good chance to learn more about calligraphy, an integral part of traditional Chinese culture, and the upcoming Chinese Spring Festival which, also referred to as Chinese New Year, will fall on Feb 5 this year.
