Suzhou Centennial College (SCC) hosted an event on Jan 16, in which over 50 students from the Republic of Panama showcased their learning outcomes under the "Suzhou-Panama Chinese Learning Program". Launched in March 2018, the program aimed to offer Panamanian youths opportunities to learn more about Chinese language and culture. Nicolas A. Saval Z., Panamanian consul general in Shanghai, and a number of Chinese officials and the school's executives were present.

SCC president Wang Jianliang started the event with a speech in which he gave the participants a detailed introduction to the program and the students' performance over the past few months. Several other officials and student representatives also shared their opinions and feelings about the program.

After that, the Panamanian students performed Chinese tongue twisters and songs and demonstrated their Chinese calligraphy skills on site, receiving high praise from the spectators.

In the later interview, Nicolas A. Saval Z. gave high comments on the program, hoping more Panamanian students can have chances to join it in the future.
