Young students from 13 SIP-based schools competed in the 1st SIP Youngsters' Smart Device Design and Operation Contest lately held at SIP Xinghai Experimental Middle School. The winners reportedly will have chances to gain the membership of the Chinese Youth Academy of Sciences, an after-school education organization based in Beijing, and join in its science and technology development programs.

In the event, the little contestants demonstrated excellent skills of assembling Kong Ming Lock, a traditional Chinese intelligence toy consisting of small parts that are usually easy to take apart and difficult to reassemble, and also outstanding abilities of designing and operating automated warehousing and road and aerial vehicles to finish a set of designated tasks.
