At the WorldSkills Hi-Tech 2018 held from Oct 24 to 28 in Ekaterinburg, Russia, Zhao Fenghua and Li Junxi, two students from SIP Industrial Technical School (SIPITS) garnered the third prize in the mobile robotics contest.

The event, as part of the 2018 Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development and Technology Innovation Competition organized by BRICS Business Council, consisted of 32 contests that attracted a total of 400-plus contestants from the BRICS countries including Russia, China, India and Brazil as well as other European and Asian countries.

In the three-day mobile robotics contest, Zhao and Li demonstrated excellent robot building and operation skills in fulfilling a series of designated tasks, including one requiring the robots to classify and deliver garbage from a trash can to a garbage station along a pre-set route.
