French education officials visit SIPITS
Mr. Jean-Pierre Collignon, Inspector General of French National Education, and his contingent visited SIP Industrial Technical School (SIPITS) in Dushu Lake Science & Education Innovation Zone (DLSEIZ) on Aug 28, in the company of several local top officials. At the school, the visitors attended a symposium with representatives from the school authority.
At the event, Yan Haiqing, deputy director of DLSEIZ Higher Education Institute Cooperation Development Bureau, introduced DLSEIZ's functions, services and current conditions to the French guests, while SIPITS vice principal Gu Weiguo gave them a detailed account of the school's objectives, curriculum and achievements. Both expressed expectations for cooperation with French parties in vocational education and offered suggestions on potential opportunities.
In his response, Mr. Jean-Pierre Collignon said he was deeply impressed by the school's teaching philosophy and courses that can greatly facilitate innovation and entrepreneurship. He expected to see cooperation in exchange of teachers, joint curriculum development and mutual diploma recognition.
After that, the visitors had a tour around the school's smart manufacturing research base, Internet of Things training room and Cloud Maker Space, where they exchanged ideas with the Chinese participants for future cooperation.
