SIP's Haide Community has exemplified a series of good practices in meeting the learning needs of the local residents. The local learning programs tailored for different groups have greatly increased the participants' interest in learning new knowledge and skills and enriched their life.

Among the programs are those for children, such as classes on English language and calligraphy, designed to facilitate their growth and broaden their horizons. Some are for females, like those on makeup, flower arrangement, cooking and painting, for the purpose of helping them live a higher-quality life. Besides, there are programs to teach migrants Suzhou dialect and those aimed at enhancing the residents' understanding of local culture and art.

All of the programs were devised based on public opinion polls and are upgraded based on the participants' feedbacks so as to better meet their needs.
