The Department of Education of Jiangsu Province recently released the list of "High-Quality Kindergartens in Jiangsu Province" based on the results of an assessment started in late 2017. On the list are 180 kindergartens, including 10 in Suzhou.

The kindergartens were rated after a succession of document reviews, on-site investigations and validations which were aimed at giving the most reliable and comprehensive evaluation of the kindergartens in terms of their staffing, facilities, teaching capacity, security and health guarantee measures and management efficiency.
