Shengpu Experimental Primary School hosted an opening ceremony on Sept 1 to mark the beginning of the fall semester and welcome the first graders. The event started with a wonderful dragon and lion dance performance by the school team, followed by a solemn flag-raising ceremony and a speech by the school's principal.

In addition, a number of students who had won the championship in the Chinese chess and volleyball competitions during the summer vacation as well as those who had been declared “SIP’s Good Moral Models in 2016” received awards.
