Teachers of minority ethnic groups visit Suzhou

The launching ceremony for 2nd "Pomegranate Partnership" program was held at SIP Institute of Vocational Technology (SIPIVT) on July 21, starting the one-week exchange event for 31 primary school teachers of minority ethnic groups and four representatives of ethnic affairs commission and education bureau from Tongren, a city in Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The program, sponsored by Suzhou Association for Promoting Unity and Progress among Ethnic Groups, is designed to enhance communication between Suzhou and its assistance counterpart Tongren by offering opportunities for excellent Tongren teachers to visit Suzhou and learn experience.

The program consists of symposiums, theme workshops and visits to Suzhou Juveniles'Healthy Growth Guidance Center among other places. The teachers are full of expectations for the activities.

The "Pomegranate Partnership" Program Implementation Base was inaugurated on the same day and SIPIVT will provide long-term support for the program.
