The 7th Dushu Lake College Student Film Festival cum the Soochow University parallel session of the 24th Beijing College Student Film Festival were launched at Dushu Lake Theatre on April 7 and will last till June.

The Missing Sheep was showed as the opening film of the festival, which attracted more than 800 teachers and students from Suzhou Dushu Lake Science & Education Innovation District.

The Missing Sheep depicts the great changes the development of new countryside has brought about in the spiritual and cultural life of farmers in northwest China in the era of reform and opening-up in China,. The film was awarded "Best Feature Film" and "Best Original Screenplay" at the 3rd Sino-American International TV Festival on May 28, 2016, and "Best New Film" at Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival on Sept 24, 2016.
