Co-organized by SIP-based Suzhou Haizisi Nanosurf Co., Ltd. (Nanosurf), Guangzhou Nano Innovation Lab Equipment and Teaching Seminar was successfully concluded recently. Over 200 workers engaged in the business of education equipment and school teachers from all over the country attended the seminar.

The attendees held discussions about the facilitation of nanotechnology to education equipment and teaching, the equipment application in middle school's nano innovation lab and teaching innovation.

Nanosurf and Guangzhou Tieyi Middle School jointly built a nano innovation lab in 2014, which is also the first middle school nanotechnology innovation lab in South China. The nano lab has fully satisfied the students' demands for inquiry, experience, individualized learning and development, fostered and activated their sense of innovation and practical ability.

During the seminar, a teacher from SIP Dushu Lake School Nano Innovation Lab gave an enlightening nanotechnology experiment class. Observing the concaves on the surface of DVD by means of atomic force microscope while listening to the teacher's explanation, the students sensed the existence of atoms and understood the size of nano through the minute structures on the surface of objects, thus turning an ordinary classroom into a "high-end and groovy" nano innovation lab.

Founded in 2009, Nanosurf is currently the only enterprise in China dedicated to nanotechnology education. The company boasts dozens of invention patents, patents for utility models, atomic force microscope with completely independent intellectual property rights, and other serial nanotechnology education products. It provides middle and primary schools with overall solutions to nano innovation lab, nano STEAM lab and nano maker space.

In addition, the company also took part in Suzhou Nano Expo in cooperation with Taiwan enterprises to attract middle and primary school students in Suzhou. It signed a long-term strategic cooperation agreement with Iran to jointly promote the nanotechnology education in middle and primary schools.
