The first experiment platform of UCLA (Suzhou) Institute for Technology Advancement (UCLASITA) recently settled down in Suzhou. Relying on UCLA's expert team and resources, the research institute will orient itself towards industrialization and marketization, build a high quality talent team and create a world class experiment platform.

Currently, the experiment platform's research focuses on new materials, Internet of things, multimedia and big data, mobile medical and bio-information, etc.

UCLASITA boasts a first class experiment team, whose members make up the platform's advisory panel and will take part in the development and construction of the platform.

Based on the platform's construction, UCLASITA is planning to set up various-level talent bases, such as undergraduate and postgraduate internship bases and post-doctoral R&D bases, lay emphasis on the training of research personnel, and realize market-oriented operation. Meanwhile, the lab will be open to hackerspace staff for the sake of resource sharing. 

At present, the construction of the experiment platform is in full swing and expected to come into use at the beginning of 2017. As one of the earliest research facilities to explore the mode of international technology transfer and innovative collaboration between Chinese and American universities, UCLASITA has always devoted itself to promoting China-America technical and cultural exchange and cooperation.

UCLASITA aims to achieve development and build a world top experiment platform while enhancing local economic development so as to bring about win-win cooperation and common progress.
