The 2nd Suzhou Industrial Park Environmental-protection Summer Camp with "low-carbon" as its theme opened on July 23 at Xietang School. 100 junior grade-1 students from Xietang School, Lianhua School, SIP No.8 Middle School, Jinji Lake School and Dushu Lake School took part in the camp to learn environmental-protection knowledge, do experiments and visit plants.

The camp lasted for two days, with the first day for the students to do experiment on water purification, to visit low-carbon and energy sources and to free fish to Jinji Lake, and with the second day for them to attend a lecture, to simulate United Nations Climate Change Conference and to assemble solar panels for electricity generation, etc.
