On February 13, Suzhou Industrial Park and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) signed an agreement on the entry of DNA Learning Center Asia to SIP.

DNA Learning Center Asia is located at Biobay in Dushu Lake Science & Education Innovation District, with a land area of 25,000 square meters and construction area of 4,500 square meters. The center is expected to be put into operation within three months, and opened for the first life science summer camp for primary and secondary school students as early as late July.

The CSHL is a private non-profit research and education institution, acknowledged as the holy land for life science and the cradle of molecule biology in the world, ranking the top among the world's ten most influential academies. So far, the CSHL has fostered 8 Noble laureates. Since its opening in April 2010, CSH Asia has attracted more than 11,000 scientists/times from 60 countries and regions to carry out academic exchanges at 70 high-end international meetings and 4 summer schools.

Founded in 1988 as an operation unit of the CSHL, DNA Learning Center is the world's first science center devoted entirely to genetics education and the world's largest provider of student lab instruction in molecular genetics. By virtue of the rapid development of bio-med industry and competitive academic foundation and supporting resources, SIP has the honor of becoming its Asian center to provide teenagers with a full range of related education, which testifies to SIP's international and modern education strategy and offers a new platform for SIP to develop quality education.

The attendees present at the ceremony included John Maroney, Vice President & General Counsel of the CSHL, Dave Micklos, Executive Director of the DNA Learning Center, Yang Zhiping, Deputy Secretary of CPC SIP Working Committee and Director of SIP Administrative Committee (SIPAC), and Deputy Director Xia Fang of SIPAC.
