On the morning of August 21, at Dongshahu School, the 6th Suzhou Industrial Park Elementary & Secondary School Summer Sports Meet came to a successful conclusion.

More than 50,000 students from 31 schools of SIP took part in the sports meet, more than 5,000 of them competed in 300 matches in 11 categories, including swimming, badminton, chess, aero-modeling, football, basketball and volleyball.

One hour before the closing ceremony, the finals of three matches of football, basketball and volleyball were still going on respectively between pupils of Fangzhou Primary School and of SIP No. 2 Experimental Primary School, between the middle school students from Xinggang School and Xingwan School, and between the middle school students from Dongshahu School and Xinghai Experimental Middle School. "This sports meet is a good platform to show our energy. My school is newly-founded, so we must practice more than others to get good scores in a short time, and our team spent the summer vacation on the training," said Tang Jiaqi, the captain of the girls' volleyball team from Dongshahu School.
