Dozens of secondary school teachers from all over the country gathered at Nanopolis Suzhou on August 4 for a 7-day training session on nanotech lab. The program was jointly launched by the Educational Equipment Research & Development Center of the Ministry of Education and Suzhou HZS-Nanosurf Nanotechnology with the aim of promoting nanotech in elementary and secondary schools.

The developed countries introduced nanotech education to elementary and secondary school students three decades ago. To fill up the gap, the Chinese education authority initiated the development program of nanotech innovation lab for secondary schools in 2012 to explore a new education mode of publicizing nanotech and nano science.

Equipped with cutting-edge teaching instruments and devices, the lab encourages students to explore the wonderful world of nanotechnology. HZS-Nanosurf provides one-stop solution in providing equipments, compiling textbooks, designing curriculum, and training teachers.

During the training session, the teachers will attend lectures, learn how to operate equipments and devices, and visit local nanotech companies.
