47 United Nations officials who were learning Chinese at Nanjing University took the weekend off and toured Suzhou on the afternoon of July 19, accompanied by the students of GIST International College.

To help its officials learn Chinese language and culture, the United Nations will arrange a 3-week study session every summer. So far more than 500 officials have attended the program.

The UN officials introduced to students their work flow and answered the questions raised by Chinese audience. The school management believed that this kind of interaction would expose students to global cultures and broaden their horizon.
