Samsung Electronics Suzhou Computer and Suzhou Institute of Southeast University signed a cooperation agreement on February 23 in Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP). Both parties agreed to strengthen ties on the research of machinery and electronics technologies and Samsung Computer donated a new-model laptop to the Institute.

The cooperation between the two partners started in 2010 and the joint technical team found solutions to six technical problems about ventilation and noise reduction, which helped Samsung gain considerable competitive edge in the market.

According to the agreement, Samsung will offer annual scholarship of 10,000 yuan to six top graduate students majoring in machinery engineering every year.

The Company will assign research tasks to scholarship recipients and provide 50,000 yuan to each research project to cover equipment cost, travel and accommodations fees, and tutoring expenses.
