Facing the great challenge from the outbreak of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV), the Chinese government has been putting the safety and health of the people in the first place, and honestly sharing the information about the epidemic with the whole world in the hope of curbing further spread of the virus. The country is now going all out to fight against the epidemic. Here, we would like to express our sincere thanks to those multinationals that have offered generous support for the epidemic prevention and control with their resources, donations and adjusted operation schedules.
The governments of Jiangsu province and Suzhou city and SIP Administrative Committee have responded to the epidemic quickly, taking scientific measures to prevent new cases, offering treatments to those infected and ensuring sufficient medical and living supplies. Suzhou has taken a lead in the country to allow enterprises to extend their holiday, and has issued a series of policies to give enterprises financial support, help them stabilize HR management and reduce their burdens. In addition to putting the policies into substantial practice, SIP established the 2019-nCoV Prevention & Control Headquarters dedicated to fighting against the epidemic and helping local enterprises make good preparations for resuming operations. At this critical moment of fighting against the virus, we hereby call on enterprises in SIP to strictly follow related policies and SIP authorities’ “Guide for Enterprises to Resume Operations after Spring Festival Holiday” to adopt scientific plans for their resumption of operations and take effective measures to ensure safety in their operations. The 2019-nCoV Prevention & Control Headquarters and its working group for enterprises will offer full support for you.
The economic globalization has fused all the countries in a kith and kin relationship. As a National Economic and Technological Development Zone (NETDZ), SIP has retained the top spot in the country’s annual comprehensive evaluation of NETDZs for four successive years. In fighting the epidemic, SIP is sparing no efforts to fulfill the task of facilitating global cooperation and development. The bureau is trying its utmost to help minimize the epidemic’s economic impact while pushing on our investment promotion projects, improving our business services and optimizing local business environment. We will keep in touch with potential and existing investors through video telephones, mails and WeChat, timely update information about related policies, employ online service modes to follow up related projects, and provide all other services to get through this tough time together with local enterprises.
The epidemic will be overcome, and development is an eternal theme. We believe China will see more steady growth and the enterprises in SIP will have a brighter future as long as we stand the test of the epidemic.
