The government of East China’s Jiangsu province held a conference in SIP on Jan 2 when Lou Qinjian, secretary of CPC Jiangsu Committee, announced to launch across the province 1,473 industrial projects with a total investment exceeding one trillion yuan. 

 

It is reported that 32 of the projects are located in SIP, including 13 in the medical industry, 15 in high-end manufacturing and four in the modern service sector. The total investment of the projects is about RMB 22.4 billion. 

 

Lou and Jiangsu Governor Wu Zhenglong listened to SIP officials’ report on the projects before the conference, and showed great expectations for them. They also visited several of the project undertakers after the conference to learn more about their projects and their opinions on improvement of government services and encourage them to be audacious in seeking future development.
