Event in Singapore helps expand Sino-Singaporean cooperation

The Suzhou • SIP High Quality Development & Pilot Free Trade Zone Investment Promotion Symposium took place in Singapore on Dec 3, attracting a host of participants from political and business circles. 
Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Hong Xiaoyong spoke at the event, encouraging Singaporean businesses to seek cooperation opportunities in China.
Peng Ee Goh, deputy secretary and software office director at the Ministry of Trade & Industry of Singapore, advised to further drive Sino-Singaporean cooperation at local, regional and state levels, and revealed that Singaporean government will take the chance of the development of China (Jiangsu) Pilot Free Trade Zone to help SIP develop into a world-class industrial park.
Lan Shaomin, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Jiangsu Committee and secretary of CPC Suzhou Committee, delivered a keynote speech at the event. He gave the participants a detailed account of Suzhou’s advantages in nourishing businesses and SIP’s achievements in economic and social development over the past 25 years, hoping more Singaporean businesses can enter cooperation with Suzhou partners in such fields as FTZ construction, incubation of emerging industries, opening-up of service trade and cross-border investment.
A number of enterprises and organizations signed agreements at the event to launch cooperation in a wide range of projects, and representatives of four Fortune 500 enterprises gave speeches.
