SIP’s Xietang Sub-district hosted a training session on Nov 9 when Prof. Ma Defeng from Department of Sociology at Soochow University gave a talk on survey report writing to the participants from local administrative offices, enterprises and public institutions, including the trainees under a local young administrative staff training program.

 

The event started with group discussions where each group of participants decided a survey topic based on challenges they have encountered during their daily work and designed the structure of their survey report. The groups then shared the outcomes of their discussions with each other.

 

Following that, Ma gave the participants a talk on the significance of survey reports, related writing skills and mistakes that should be avoided in writing survey reports. He also gave them several examples to help them better understand the writing skills.
