Suzhou mayor Li Yaping on Nov 9 met with a group of American guests led by American biologist and Nobel laureate David Baltimore, who came to SIP to attend a forum on systems medicine on the same day. 

 

At the event, Li gave the guests a specific introduction to Suzhou’s economic and social development, laying emphasis on the biomedicine ecosystem and new free trade zone in SIP. He hopes that there will be opportunities in the future for the scholars to launch their projects in the city.

 

David Baltimore spoke highly of Suzhou’s excellent conditions for development of systems medicine and expressed expectations for cooperation in related fields.
