A delegation from Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA), a national economic reform pilot zone founded in 1984 in Tianjin, a North China municipality directly under the central government, visited SIP on Nov 1, trying to learn more about the Sino-Singaporean cooperative project and seek cooperation opportunities. CPC TEDA Committee secretary and TEDA Administrative Committee director Zheng Weiming led the delegation.

Accompanied by a group of local officials, the delegation members first had a tour around SIP Exhibition Center and SIP BioBAY where they gained a holistic picture of SIP’s industrial layout and focuses.

At the later symposium, SIP Administrative Committee director Ding Lixin gave the guests a specific introduction to SIP’s operations and development outcomes, and expressed expectations to enhance exchange and cooperation with TEDA in the future for win-win outcomes in economic and social development.

Zheng introduced to the SIP officials TEDA’s development trajectories and plans, and also showed intention to tighten ties with SIP in future development.
