Huang Lixin, chairwoman of CPPCC Jiangsu Committee, and her contingent paid a visit to SIP on Aug 7 for a survey on local economic development, science and technology innovation and talent introduction and cultivation.

 

In the company of several local officials, Huang and her fellows first visited Ascentage Pharma, an enterprise dedicated to developing novel drugs against cancers, hepatitis B and other diseases. They toured around the company’s laboratories and listened to the company executives’ introduction to its products and operations. Huang encouraged the company to continuously enlarge its input in R&D to develop more new drugs for the benefit of more patients.

 

The next station was Suzhou Great Wall S&T Co Ltd, a company focusing on design and manufacturing of medical devices and electronic components. In the process, the visitors acquired a comprehensive understanding of the company’s development and the challenges it faces. Huang suggested the company take all opportunities to improve its independent innovation ability.
