SIP-HMITZ Party Working Committee holds mid-year meeting

SIP High-end Manufacturing and International Trade Zone (SIP-HMITZ) Party Working Committee held a mid-year meeting on Aug 1. Its leading officials and those from SIP-HMITZ Administrative Committee and administrative offices at lower levels and executives of a number of local enterprises were present.
 
SIP-HMITZ Party Working Committee Secretary Ni Qian made a work report at the event. He gave a detailed account of SIP-HMITZ’s achievements made in the first half of the year, especially those in economic development, and unveiled next-step plans.
According to the report, SIP-HMITZ authorities have made great efforts since the beginning of the year to attract investment and support local enterprises to innovate on their operation modes and upgrade their production lines. Therefore, the area saw a total industrial output value of RMB 124.9 billion from January to June, accounting for 56% of that of SIP, total imports and exports of US$ 31.3 billion, 75% of that of SIP, and fixed asset investment of RMB 3.4 billion, up 11.2% year-on-year. 
For the future, the local authorities have decided to improve their services and optimize local business environment to strive for more outcomes in economic growth, science and technology innovation, talent introduction and cultivation, construction of comprehensive free trade zone and other fields.
