The Department of Foreign Investment Administration (DFIA) at the Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) of China kicked off its training program in SIP on May 7, aiming to give 40 national economic and technological development zones (NETDZs) in 17 provinces (municipalities, autonomous regions) a helping hand in attracting investment. A total of 50 representatives from the NETDZs participated.

It is learnt that it is the 50th MOFCOM training program carried out in SIP since it was designated a “Training for NETDZs Base” by the MOFCOM in 2012. Statistics show that nearly 3,000 people from 219 NETDZs and 28 provincial departments of commerce attended the previous 49 programs.

At the event, Zhu Bing, deputy director of DFIA, gave the trainees a detailed account of MOFCOM’s work plan this year for the purpose of promoting development of NETDZs nationwide, and encouraged NETDZs to seek a better development based on local conditions. Huang Haitao, deputy director of SIP Administrative Committee, gave the participants an introduction to SIP’s development.
