Huang Lixin, chairwoman of CPPCC Jiangsu Committee, and her contingent visited SIP on Apr 25 for a survey on local university and college education. 

Huang and her fellows first visited Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), a cooperative university founded by China’s Xi’an Jiaotong University and the UK’s University of Liverpool in 2006. They toured around the school’s museum and library, and listened to the school representatives’ introduction to the school’s development and internationalized school management philosophies. 

The next station was SIP Institute of Vocational Technology where the visitors talked with several students at the school’s training base and learnt a lot about the school’s unique teaching mode featuring collaboration with enterprises in offering students internships and other practice opportunities. They were told that the school has established partnerships with 1,100 enterprises and set up more than 300 off-campus practice bases.
