YRD Overseas Investment Promotion Center was inaugurated in SIP on Apr 19, marking SIP has taken on the new responsibility to further facilitate international business cooperation in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) region. 

The center reportedly will focus on establishing long-term partnerships with overseas industrial parks and business organizations, organizing various networking events and offering a set of services to attract foreign-invested projects and help YRD-based enterprises seek development overseas. For example, it provides fast administrative review and approval services for overseas investment projects valued at less than US$ 300 million, and help enterprises to get access to SIP’s one-stop overseas investment project and undertaker registration services.

In fact, it is not the first time that SIP serves as a forerunner in serving enterprises intending to enter international market. SIP launched in 2015 the country’s first state-level overseas investment service demonstration platform, an online platform which provides one-stop services for Chinese enterprises going global. With project library, capital pool and information database, the platform has helped many local enterprises erect their projects overseas. The service mode relying on the platform is being rolled out across Jiangsu province.
