Based on the Opinions on Several Policies and Measures Aimed at Boosting High-quality Development of Open Economy issued by Jiangsu government and CPC committee in January, SIP’s one-stop service mechanism for registration of overseas investment projects and undertakers is being rolled out across the province.

The service mechanism marks a significant move by SIP authorities in improving local administrative service efficiency. Before it was put into practice, local enterprises intending to make investment overseas had to have their business information and details about the involved projects registered with two different departments. However, the innovative mechanism allows them to go through all required procedures at one service window, which greatly saves them time and energies.

According to statistics, by the end of last year, 309 SIP-based enterprises had launched 476 projects in 53 countries and regions. The SIP authorities is enhancing their efforts to further streamline and simplify local administrative procedures to better support enterprises trying to seek development overseas.
