Zhou Naixiang, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Jiangsu Committee and secretary of CPC Suzhou Committee, met with Yang Ruikai, vice president and director of digital government business at Huawei Technologies Co Ltd, and his contingent in SIP on Apr 8. The two parties discussed issues concerning future cooperation.

Headquartered in Shenzhen, a city in South China’s Guangdong province, Huawei is a global leader in telecoms with a great range of products including mobile phones, tablets, PCs, and wearable, broadband and home devices. The company set up a branch in SIP in 2012 to provide communication network products and services, and its business service headquarters and R&D center at SIP’s Sangtian Island Innovation Park are expected to come into operation soon after a series of acceptance review procedures.

At the event, Zhou gave Yang and his colleagues a specific introduction to the economic and social conditions in Suzhou, hoping that the two parties can enhance collaboration in developing and applying AI and smart technologies. Yang expressed thanks to Suzhou government for its consistent support to Huawei’s business operations in SIP, saying that they are confident in seeking continuous expansion in the area.
