A team of 24 officials from Horgos Economic Development Zone (HEDZ) in Horgos, a city in Northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, attended a training session at SIP Training Management Center from Mar 22 to Apr 2. The event was part of a program that Suzhou government runs on a regular basis to help officials in Xinjiang improve their public service abilities. It is reported that 28 training sessions have been held under the program for 657 attendees.

The training session was tailored for the HEDZ officials based on their working conditions and environment. It incorporated theoretical courses, field tours and workshops designed to help the officials better understand domestic conditions, seek a better self-development and learn experience from SIP for propelling local economic, social and cultural development.
