As the winner of the top spot for three consecutive years in the Chinese Ministry of Commerce's evaluation of state-level economic and technological development zones, SIP has exemplified a series of good practices for development of industrial carriers of its kind. Now, the practices, collectively referred to as "SIP experience", are expected to be upgraded so that they will enable SIP and zones following its lead to achieve better development.

Specifically, SIP has decided to enhance reform in its administrative and business support systems and mechanisms to further facilitate business and trade development in the area. At the same time, it will make greater efforts to encourage and support business innovation and guide enterprises to develop products and services with high added value. On the other hand, it plans to optimize local resource allocation to give priority to the development of high-end and leading industries, and tighten ties with the neighboring areas for integrated development.
