CPC Suzhou Committee secretary visits SIP

Zhou Naixiang, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Jiangsu Committee and secretary of CPC Suzhou Committee, and his contingent visited SIP on Mar 8 for a survey on the area's development.

In the company of several officials from Suzhou government and SIP Administrative Committee, Zhou and his fellows had a tour around a number of companies, learning about their operations and their needs for government support. Zhou encouraged the companies to continuously enhance their productivity, R&D ability and international competitiveness, and suggested SIP authorities adopt more scientific resource allocation methods to accelerate concentration and incubation of high-end and leading industries.

The officials also visited SIP Port. Gaining a better understanding of its functions and operations, Zhou suggested tightening the ties between the port and the neighboring transportation networks and customs offices to facilitate integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta region.

Moreover, the officials visited Suzhou Institute of Aerospace Information Research Institute at Chinese Academy of Sciences, where they listened to the institute staff's introduction to their research projects and outcomes and exchanged opinions with several project leaders.
