Desmond Tay, deputy divisional director at Enterprise Singapore, a Singaporean government agency committed to supporting enterprise development, and his contingent visited SIP on Jan 3. They met with a number of local officials led by SIP Administrative Committee Director Ding Lixin, and had a tour around Chinese clean energy conglomerate GCL Group.

In their meeting, Desmond Tay congratulated SIP for retaining the top spot for the third straight year in the Chinese Ministry of Commerce's latest evaluation of national economic and technological development zones, and expressed expectations for stronger cooperation between Singaporean and Chinese parties in a wider range of fields. Ding introduced SIP's future plans to the guests and thanked Enterprise Singapore for its continuous support. Then, the two parties exchanged opinions on collaboration in financial innovation, intellectual property rights, overseas investment services and other projects.
