The 12th Meeting of the Singapore-Jiangsu Cooperation Council, held in Singapore on Nov 20 for the purpose of driving more fruitful cooperation between Singapore and East China's Jiangsu province in economic development, education, cultural exchange, environmental protection and health services, offered SIP a good chance to tighten its ties with Singaporean partners.

Following the meeting, SIP signed a series of cooperation agreements with Singaporean parties, including one with International Enterprise Singapore to enhance efforts in facilitating trade and investment liberalization, helping Chinese and Singaporean businesses seek cooperation opportunities under China's Belt and Road Initiative and enhancing business support.

Apart from that, SIP Administrative Committee signed agreements with Singapore Exchange Limited, Development Bank of Singapore, United Overseas Bank and Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation Limited to launch collaboration in the finance sector.
