SIP officials attend JCBCM in Singapore
A series of high-level cooperative meetings co-chaired by Chinese Vice Premier Han Zheng and Singaporean Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean were held in Singapore on Sept 20.
The meetings include the 14th China-Singapore Joint Council for Bilateral Cooperation Meeting (JCBCM), the 19th China-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Joint Steering Council Meeting, the 10th China-Singapore Tianjin Eco-City Joint Steering Council Meeting, and the Second China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity Joint Steering Council Meeting.
Wu Qingwen, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Suzhou Committee and secretary of SIP Party Working Committee, and Ding Lixin, director of SIP Administrative Committee, were present at JCBCM and related meetings.
At the event, which is dubbed the highest-level forum between China and Singapore, officials from the two parties delivered speeches, looking back on the bilateral cooperation outcomes in the past year and discussing future cooperation plans.
Several bilateral MOUs were signed, including one between Suzhou government and the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore on Singaporean officials' exchange tours to Suzhou, and one between SIP and International Enterprise Singapore and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research on cooperation in science and technology innovation and commercialization.
