Reporters from Xinhua News Agency, People’s Daily, Xinhua Daily and Suzhou Daily among other media participated.

According to Zou Xiaowei, deputy director of the Publicity Department of CPC SIP Working Committee and director of SIP Office of Cultural Undertakings, plans for a multitude of industry development projects, public services and theme events are being made and a series of measures will be taken this year to propel the innovation and development of the area and improve people's livelihood.

After the briefing, the reporters had a tour around SIP-HMITZ, a cluster erected in eastern SIP last year as a pilot zone for high-end manufacturing and trade facilitation based on experience learnt from China (Shanghai) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
