A delegation from neighboring Zhejiang province visited Jiangsu province from July 11 to 12. Che Jun, secretary of CPC Zhejiang Committee and director of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of Zhejiang province, and Yuan Jiajun, governor of Zhejiang province, led the visit.

The delegation members and Jiangsu officials held a symposium on economic and social development in Nanjing, capital of Jiangsu province, on July 11. Li Qiang, secretary of CPC Jiangsu Committee, director of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Jiangsu province, Wu Zhenglong, deputy secretary of CPC Jiangsu Committee and acting governor of Jiangsu province, and Jiang Dingzhi, chairman of the CPPCC Jiangsu Committee, were present. Both sides signed an agreement on enhancing strategic cooperation between the two provinces.

The delegation came to Suzhou for a visit on July 12. They made a tour of SIP Exhibition Center, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Suzhou Institute of Nano-tech and Nano-bionics (SINANO) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and were deeply impressed by the achievements Suzhou has made in facilitating innovation, enriching the people and promoting high-level construction of a moderately well-off society in an all-round way.
