SIP held a news briefing on the 1st-quarter year at Modern Building on March 22, with the focus on artificial intelligence (AI) industrial development plan and the major journalistic activities in the second quarter. Attending the briefing were Xinhua News Agency, the People's Daily, Xinhua Daily and Suzhou Daily, etc.

The major journalistic activities in the second quarter include reporting on comfortable housing project for talents, Party contingent building, boost in comprehensive experiment in opening up and innovation, regional integration, forum on development of intellectual property talents, forum on E-commerce industrial development, enrichment of people and improvement of cultural connotations.

SIP is the first among national development zones that has issued documents specially to encourage the development of AI. According to the AI industrial development plan, by 2020, an AI-concerned innovation cradle, demonstration place and industrial cluster well known at home and abroad will have been shaped up, boasting five or above AI-concerned feature industrial parks, incubation bases and innovation platforms, 10-billion-yuan-level AI industrial development fund, two or three 1-billion-yuan-level and one or two 10-billion-yuan level-leading AI enterprises.

After the meeting, reporters made a field trip to AISpeech, Suzhou HYC Electronic Technology, Microsoft Suzhou, etc.
