An SIP delegation headed by Xu Huimin, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and secretary of CPC SIP Working Committee, visited Suzhou-Suqian Industrial Park (SSIP) on Jan 11 to learn about the development of SSIP.

SSIP is a new experiment and new carrier initiative that Suzhou and Suqian, a city in northern Jiangsu, has taken to innovate south-north cooperative mechanism and carry out combined development. SIP is responsible for SSIP's specific operation and implementation. 

SSIP project was initiated in 2007. The past decade has seen the average growth rate of SSIP's investment in industry exceed 50%, the average annual growth rate of such indexes as total business income, industrial sales revenue, public finance budget income, industrial enterprise tax, etc. exceed 100%. SSIP has become a major growth pole in Suqian's economic development.

Xu Huimin and the delegation visited Catcher Technology Suqian project, Suzhou Park, and Suqian Suzhou Foreign Language School.

Catcher Technology (Suqian) Co., Ltd., set up in 2008 by Catcher Technology Co., Ltd. from Taiwan, involves a total investment of $600 million. Up to present, Catcher Technology has made a gross investment of $1.8 billion in Suqian, becoming the city's largest project of foreign capital and Taiwan capital. 

Located in the south of SSIP's commercial and residential area, Suzhou Park is a project for the people's livelihood funded and constructed by SIP Development Group Co., Ltd. It is a modern, open and ecological public park that has integrated Singaporean elements, Suzhou garden style and Suqian local characteristics. 

Suqian Suzhou Foreign Language School is SSIP's first nine-year education school built in accordance with modern standards. A management team selected from famous schools in SIP is engaged in the planning, construction and operation of the school.

Xu commented positively on SSIP's current development and proposed that both parties should continue to strengthen cooperation and strive to ascend to a new height.
