On the morning of April 6, Suzhou Industrial Park Information Project Leading Group met at Modern Building to review the work of last year and to decide on the tasks for the year 2016.

Led by CPC SIP Working Committee and SIP Administrative Committee (SIPAC), SIP continued to progress in 2015 in top-level planning of information projects, made constant improvements in policies and mechanism, and the IT project construction escalated steadily. The targets for the "12th 5-year plan" and for building smart city were effectively attained. Meanwhile, SIP completed the planning for information program in the "13th 5-year plan" in conjunction with the comprehensive experimentation in opening-up and innovation and with the major departmental reform with the aim to better guide the information program in the new era.

Yang Zhiping, Deputy Secretary of CPC SIP Working Committee and Director of SIPAC, made a full appraisal of the work in SIP information program, and raised new requirements for the next stage. This year, SIP is to strengthen IT support to the work of administrative organs, and quicken the integration of information and data and the development, opening, and sharing of administrative information resources among the various departments and industrial sectors. The application level of information project construction will be uplifted and concerted efforts made to achieve a good beginning of information program in the "13th 5-year plan" (2016-2020).
