SIP Holds 2016 Meeting on Political and Legal Work

The 2016 Suzhou Industrial Park Working Conference on Political and Legal Work was held on March 31 at Xiandai Building to review the work of the past year and to clarify tasks for the year 2016.

In the past year, the people of SIP made conscientious efforts in performing the mission of safeguarding social stability, promoting social justice, ensuring happy livelihood and employment, deepening the construction of safe and law-governed SIP, and building up a contingent of political and legal work, thus achieving remarkable results in all fields of work. Proper solutions were gained in labor disputes, project payment, migrant workers' pays, illegal funding, and issues in property sales, and security was insured in major events, and law and order in SIP were well maintained. SIP also intensified measures in curbing pernicious crimes and infringement upon the people's lives and property. Security and precautionary facilities in the residential compounds were upgraded, and SIP led the whole municipality in rounding up criminal offences with public sense of security, and demonstrated SIP's special characteristics in governing by law, upholding judicial justice, publicizing laws, maintaining law and order in the interest of the people, and building IPR and credibility systems.

In the year 2016, with the start of the "13th 5-year plan" and the all-round unfolding of the comprehensive experimentation in opening up and innovation, it is of special significance to do a good job in political and legal work. This year, SIP will deepen the work of building safe SIP and an efficient work team, strive to create a safe environment of social stability, justice, and efficient service for building internationalized, advanced hi-tech industrial new town, and to make new breakthroughs in serving the opening-up and innovation. SIP will tighten control on risks, innovate ways of social governance, and build up new regional core competitiveness, and improve the quality of political and legal workers.
