On the afternoon of December 18, Suzhou Industrial Park awarded the sixth batch of 438 "Jinji Lake Double Hundred Talents", including 40 overseas returnees, 169 technological experts, 28 leading figures in science & education, one from high-end service sector, and 200 highly skilled professionals. They received nearly 160 million yuan subsidy in total, 30 million yuan more than that of last year.

In recent years, SIP has gathered a large number of outstanding innovative and start-up talents and projects from home and abroad, and SIP stands in prominent position in talent indices in Suzhou, Jiangsu, and among national development zones.

SIP initiated "Leading Technological Talent Entrepreneurship Program" in 2007 and "Jinji Lake Double Hundred Talents Program" in 2010 with the aim of accelerating the construction of an international cluster for talents' startup and innovation. So far, SIP has certified 1,773 Jinji Lake Double Hundred Talents and 730 Leading Technological Talents, who have registered 540 projects here with the registered capital of 8 billion yuan. Among them, 100 companies recorded over-10-million-yuan sale each, and 20 companies recorded over-100-million-yuan sale each. These statistics show that the economic transformation and upgrading led by talent-centered development strategy in SIP has achieved obvious effect.

With the gathering of the whole SIP's resources, and the in-depth implementation of innovation-driven and talent-centered development strategy, SIP continuously promotes HR policy and talent system, startup and innovation atmosphere, enhances talent training and development, which attracts more and more talents. By the end of this year, SIP has gathered nearly 290,000 talents with at least junior college diplomas, accounting for over 40% of working population and ranking the first among national development zones in terms of the number of talents. Of these talents, 36,000 (5%) have master degrees or above, and high-skilled talents account for 38% of skilled workers. In the whole of SIP, 118 talents made it to the list of national "global experts", 37 to the list of "Jiangsu High-end Start-up Business & Innovation Talents", and 209 to the list of "Leading Gusu Talents".
