On June 23, a special inspection team led by Han Jianqing, Director of Suzhou Industrial Park Work Safety Supervision Bureau, went to enterprises that generated pulverized metals to give on-site instructions on eliminating the hazards caused by pulverized metals.

The inspection team visited Primus International (Suzhou), Suzhou Branch of Ulvac (Shanghai) Trading Co., Ltd., and Jinghope Industry (Suzhou) Co., Ltd., and in each place, Director Han would go to the workshops and examine the operation of the system for retrieving pulverized metals, discuss with the enterprises about their rectification plans, study the drawings and reference materials to work out measures against potential hazards.

Han pointed out that the special action on pulverized metal control is a major task assigned by the State Council, the provincial and municipal authorities that required high-standard and paramount attention from enterprises, and that the enterprises should act in compliance with the national anti-explosion standards and take effective measures to eliminate any possible hazards. At the same time, the work safety supervision department would enhance supervision and assistance, and help enterprises adopt scientific and efficient ways to protect against the pulverized metal-triggered explosions so as to ensure the safety of enterprises and the employees.
