The 1st Meeting of the 6th SIP Wage Steering Council Held

On the afternoon of March 31, the 1st meeting of the 6th Suzhou Industrial Park Wage Steering Council was held at SIP Administrative Committee with an attendance of over 30 council members from the government, enterprises and trade unions as well as counselors. Huang Jiyue, Deputy Secretary of CPC SIP Working Committee and Deputy Director of SIPAC presided over the meeting.

Huang Jiyue gave positive assessment of the council members' work in the past year, and put forth three points of requirements for the council, namely, to continue to improve real-time wage information release, to continue to guide the enterprises to conduct collective negotiation, and to continue to establish and improve internal communication systems in enterprises for the purpose of promoting the in-depth development of the council's work. At the same time, he requested the council to broaden the scope of its work to cover such aspects as democratic management, working time, welfare benefits as well as concern & care for the workers, and realize capital-labor tripartite consultation in the sub-districts as soon as possible with a view to achieving regional integration and creating harmonious capital labor relationship for smooth progress of SIP's transformation & upgrading.
