On the morning of January 18, Yang Zhiping, Deputy Secretary of CPC Suzhou Industrial Park Working Committee and Director of SIP Administrative Committee, led an official delegation to Hubin Residential Community in Weiting Sub-district and sat down with the residents and listened to their complaints and suggestions. Secretary Zheng Jinlong of CPC Weiting Sub-district Working Committee was also present at the meeting.

The topics discussed at the meeting covered extensive fields of public utilities, traffic and community services. Yang Zhiping listened carefully, answered some of the questions, took notes on the issues requiring further attention, referred the issues not solved at the meeting to the authorities in charge and asked them to come up with satisfactory solutions to serve the residents well.

The routine visit by the officials to the communities is an important agenda of "Communicating Day", a program based on Singapore's experience and local innovation & practice as a "green window" for the government to listen to the people, to resort to their wisdom, and to tackle with their concerns. The goal is to make sure that the people benefit from SIP's economic growth, the government respects the advice of the people on SIP's development, and all the residents lead a happy and satisfactory life.
