SIP Government Reviews Its Work about Clean and Honest Administration in 2014

On December 18, Suzhou Industrial Park government held a meeting reviewing the work in setting up an accountability system to achieve clean and honest administration as required by the central CPC committee. The participants included the leaders of both CPC SIP Working Committee and SIP Administrative Committee, chiefs of bureaus and departments, heads of courts, procuratorate, public security, agencies, sub-district offices, and CPC community committees.

The work assessment focused on four fields, the actual implementation of the accountability, the rectification of the issues found during inspections, the improvement of work style among leaders and officials, and the results of learning and practicing the Party's "mass line".

Wang Xiang, Standing Committee member of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee and Secretary of CPC SIP Working Committee, delivered a keynote speech at the meeting, stating that SIP followed the requirements about the Party "supervising its own conduct and enforcing strict discipline", took the learning and practicing of the Party's mass line as an opportunity, focused on delegation, assessment, and accountability, held local Party committee responsible for improving clean governance and discipline inspection committee for supervising the mission, looked deep into corruption cases, put the accountability system in daily operation, set up complete system of punishing and preventing corruptions, and laid a solid foundation for healthy and sustainable social and economic development.

Cai Lixin, leader of assessment group at CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee, Standing Committee Member of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee, and Director of CPC Suzhou Municipal Committee Publicity Department, made a motivation speech at the meeting. The 18th CPC Central Committee clarified at its third plenary session the duties and responsibilities of the Party committee and the discipline committee in promoting clean and honest administration, which has profound significance on a full campaign against corruption. "There is no end to the task of building a clean government," she said, "and we should keep promoting order, procedures, and normalization of this accountability system while going deep into specific rectifications." She hoped that the officials in SIP would keep up with the good work, do their best, and try hard staying out of any trouble so as to make SIP a benchmark for other national development zones.
