Suzhou Industrial Park recently upgraded its processing trade service platform. SIP One-Stop Service Center and SIP Customs held the first training session on the afternoon of November 10, explaining platform functions and operation procedures to the representatives from over 200 processing trade companies.

"If you have any questions, please use our online message board or join our QQ group to talk to our staff," said Dai Jianzhen, deputy director of registration and approval at One-Stop Service Center, after walking the audience through the entire process of using the upgraded platform. By sending all the required files and data to the center and the customs and getting electronic approval through the system, the companies are able to get all paperwork done without leaving their own companies in less than two days instead of three to five days.

The center and SIP Customs jointly developed a data sharing and service system for processing trade sector in 2008, and the platform went online at the end of 2011. The upgrade includes electronic seal and signature for online approval, making SIP the only area in the country providing paper-free administrative service to processing trade. The system now covers 780 companies and 2,000 employees.
